Q:Can these be installed flush mount, i.e. the hinge mounted on the outside face of the cabinet frame and the outside face of the cabinet? The cabinet in question sits flush within the cabinet frame opening, and for my application I certainly do not mind the cabinet hardware being visible.
Thanks!

A: Sben, Thank you for your question on the Liberty Matte Black Self-Closing Overlay Cabinet Hinge (5-Pairs). The hinge is intended to be mounted on the inside of the cabinet, and if mounted on the outside will most likely end up pulling off the drawer. Best, Customer Care Team

A: #6- 1/2 in flat head and #6- 5/8 in oval head screws. Try these screws from Home Depot: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Everbilt-Satin-Nickel-Phillips-Head-Cabinet-Hinge-Screw-Set-10-Piece-per-Pack-802844/204796441#product-overview. You want to make sure that they are not too long for your application.
by|Mar 29, 2021
A: Depending on the exact hinge you have you will need either a number 4 x 1/2 inch screw or a number 6 x 1/2 inch screw. The number 6 x 1/2 inch will work for sure if you are in a pinch.
Good luck!

A: MaryAnn, Thank you for your question on the Liberty Satin Nickel Self-Closing Overlay Cabinet Hinge (5-Pairs). The short answer is “no”. Physically it is usually possible to mount them, but the appearance is poor and the lack of support on the edge of the door can lead to tear-out of the screws over time. Best, Customer Care Team

A: JB, Thank you for your question on the Liberty Matte Black Self-Closing Overlay Cabinet Hinge (1-Pair). They're intended to be put on the inside of the door, on the opposite side from the hinges. They hold the door a little ways from the frame when it is closed, which helps everything appear even. Most peoples doors already have something similar on the backside, so they're not necessary. A: They go on the corner of the cabinet door to cushion where the door strikes the cabinet.
by|Jan 22, 2021
A: They are for the opposite ends of the doors you install using the hinges to make them even with the hinges not sure how to best explain it but due to the hinges doors slant down but those dots even them out... hope that explains it better

A: WTL, Thank you for your question on the Liberty Antique Brass Self-Closing Overlay Cabinet Hinge. The hinge has not been tested to be exposed to the elements of outside, therefore we cannot recommend the installation. Best, Customer Care Team
by|Oct 28, 2020
A: Since they are brass it should not be a problem with outdoor use. But they are lighter duty hinges meant more for indoor cabinets. If you are using them for cabinets outside that should be a problem since the door weight would be your only concern.

Q:Is anyone having a hard time hanging the doors with these hinges? The cabinet doors are not flat with the frame. Is there a trick to hanging them?

Answer This Question
A: Start by attaching the hinges to the cabinet frame. Then open them as if the door was open perpendicular to the cabinet. Then attach the door to the hinges. Most cabinets and doors already have starter holes for the screws so they should align properly. If not, you will need to do a bit of planning to get them properly aligned prior to mounting to ensure they are lined-up nicely.
