A:  No, I wouldn’t do that.  It’s beautiful, but it can gouge easily.  I’ve used it in 4 of my apartment, both in the kitchen & bath rooms, but I require my tenants to put a padding if someone dirt at the bottom of their kitchen tables & chairs to protect the linoleum from gouges & indentations.

I would take your floor plan into Home Depot and have one of the flooring specialists provide an estimate on how much material you will need. They do this every day and are great at what they do.
