Q:I am putting this product over a slab floor that currently has carpet and glued vinyl. I know the carpet and pad has to come out but do I need to put a 6 mil poly film down under the it and if so what is recommended? There is no moisture in the slab.

A:  Thank you for your question-It isn't required to use the 6-mil poly. It is recommended in basements with concrete if prone to moisture or if there have been moisture issues. All the glue must scrape up completely. The floor can be sealed or unsealed. If you use the 6-mil poly moisture barriers. Robert makes a 6- mil poly.

    Q:I laid this flooring in my entire home except the kitchen in 2015 with SKU 1002 241 524 and I have one box left. I need to do the kitchen and I can't find anywhere telling me what the "wear layer" is on my flooring. Any way to tell?

      A:  Thanks for your question. Excessive direct sunlight can eventually fade the planks. We recommend you protect the flooring with blinds, curtains, or UV tint on the windows.

              A:  Thanks for your question. This product has a lifetime residential warranty so it'd be fine in any type of residential traffic but for a commercial setting, the 22 or 30 mil would be much better.

                    A:  Thanks for your question. The 72" planks are 8 mm thick so they cannot be installed with the 48" and 59" (which can be installed together because they are 7 mm thick.)
