As you read on the installation guidelines, a second additional underlayment is allowed in a residential application, this underlayment cannot be greater than 3mm thick, with the exception of cork products that must not exceed 1/4 inch. Using an underlayment greater than 3mm or a cork underlayment greater than 1/4 inch would not only void the warranty, but the additional cushioning would cause stress on the floating floor's locking system, resulting in breakage and plank separation.
