Q:Can this be leveled with pea gravel base on a 4% slope concrete patio?
    by|Mar 8, 2024
    1 Answer
    Answer This Question

A:  Hello Mark! The 4% slope is pretty steep. A typical patio is closer to 1%. The pea gravel would need to be almost 8 inch deep on the low end. It's not the preferred method to level the spa, but it could work. It would require a good strong frame to contain the gravel.

Q:I am allergic to bromine and currently use the Baqua Spa system of chemicals in my hot tub. Can I use Baqua Spa chemicals in this hot tub?
      by|Mar 5, 2024
      1 Answer
      Answer This Question

A:  Hello Todd! Even though Baqua Spa is recognized in the industry as a sanitizer, we prescribe not to use Baqua on our spas. This chemical does a lot of damage to valves, gaskets and O-rings. We restrict sanitizers used in our spas to granular chlorine or granular bromine only.

Q:I see that several people use a bromine floater. This voids the warranty, but why? I bought a starter kit because it said you could use bromine but now after reading the users manual I can’t use the kit because it has tablets and a floater.

          Answer This Question

A:  Hello MRyder! As far as chemicals, please only use either granular chlorine or granular bromine for your sanitizer. No Tablets and Floaters!! You will also need chemicals to balance the PH (7.2 - 7.8), Alkalinity (80ppm – 120ppm) and Calcium Hardness (75ppm – 150ppm). The reason for no Tablets and Floaters is because these tablets are super concentrated and when they sit in hot water they let off gasses. Since these spas do not have continuous flow and there is a lot of time where the water is sitting stagnant, these gasses build up underneath the cover. These gasses damage the underside of the cover and when the pump kicks on to perform water sampling, heating or filtering these gasses work their way into the plumbing lines and damage the jet pump causing the pump to fail much sooner than it should.

Q:Can I use the heat at the same time as the bubbles
            by|Oct 19, 2023
            1 Answer
            Answer This Question

A:  Hello David! Some spas don’t have an actual heater. Like this hot tub, it uses what’s called a heat recovery or thermal friction heating system. This system heats the water by capturing energy from the pump and converting it to heat. The spa water will still get as hot, and stay as hot, as spas with traditional heating units. In this 110V model the hot tub will be heating while the jets are off or on low - the heating will NOT be happening when the jets are on but the hot tub will maintain the heat because it is fully foamed.

              Answer This Question

A:  Hello Christena! The plug outlet is at ground level just below the topside control panel on the “front” of the spa (where the access door is), opposite the drain. Please reference the Pre-Delivery/Install Checklist PDF on this page within the Product Details-Additional Resources where you can find the LS350DX and a drawing to show location.

Q:How long is the power cord?

                Answer This Question

A:  Hello Dunno! The GFCI power cord is 15 feet in length. After exiting the spa you should have 12' – 13' feet of cord to reach the outlet. Under no circumstances can an extension cord be used on our spas. The GFCI cord needs to plug directly into an outlet.
