Answer This Question
A: I don't believe that two master Maestro's will talk to each other in a 3-way type setup. You can have a Maestro master talk to an analog mechanical switch. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QzhhM-3hCM4

A: No, you ( must use the Maestro companion dimmer,
( MA-R ). You can ( not ) use ( 2 ) MACL-153M dimmers on the same circuit.

Q:How low will the dimmer dim the lights

Answer This Question
A: The dimmer will dim the lights fairly low. It kinda depends on the LED bulb. Some of my switches dim low enough to turn on in the muddle of the night without disturbing anyone else or blinding you.

A: WE can not give a specific measurement. All LED's are different, so some may dim lower than others.

A: It has a bit to do with the bulbs you are using but they dim very low. Usually the lowest is too low for us. We love all of our Lutron switches.

A: There is no battery in the Maestro switch, it wired and operates like any standard switch. The Caseta Pico remotes have batteries which can be changed, but they do not work with the Maestro line, only the Caseta switches

A: Dimmer switches do not contain batteries. If the LEDs indicators are not lit and the dimmer still works, the dimmer switch needs to be replaced.

A: You can achieve a 4-way installation with (1) MACL-153 and (3) MA-RR companion controls. You can only have a single MACL-153 in a multi-way installation.

A: Yes - I've done it years ago, and the product description and installation instructions say it is still possible. You'll need a different "companion" dimmer since this product can only be installed once per lighting application. Or, instead of the companion dimmers, you can use a cheap toggle or rocker switch for on/off in other locations if you don't need the lights to dim from all three switches.
This is also not a wireless switch, so you will need the locations to be already appropriately wired for 4-way.

A: For 4-way applications, the MACL-153M will need to be connected to two companion dimmers (model number MA-R). Here is an illustration of the wiring: https://www.lutron.com/TechnicalDocumentLibrary/368-4493_Page_15.pdf.

A: Currently, the DVCL-153P and MACL-153M are stand-alone wall box controls and do not have ability to pair to the Lutron smart bridge or integrate with Alexa. Lutron would recommend the Caseta smart dimmer PD-6WCL instead.
