The valves compatible with the Align Single-Handle Posi-Temp Eco-Performance Tub and Shower Faucet Trim Kit in Matte Black differ in how they will be plumbed in and whether they have built in check stops (to turn the water off at the valve). The 2510 and 2590 are designed for IPS connections, the 2520 and 2570 are designed for CC (soldered) connections. The 2590 and 2570 have built in check stops. If you are using the valve body as a shower only application, the main valve body would be 45-48” from the floor, and the shower head would be 78” or more from the floor. If you are using this valve as a tub/shower combination, the tub spout main valve body would be 32” from the floor, and the drop down from the bottom of the valve body to the tub spout would be 6-11” inches. A:  The Darcy tub and shower trim design says that it already includes the 1/2" valve. If you do not have the valve, then this one can be used.

The temperature operation of the handle is from cold to hot. To correct the issue you described, confirm that the hot and cold lines are installed to the proper port.
