Q:Can this be glued on top of current existing one?
by|Aug 22, 2020
1 Answer
Answer This Question
A: The best installation is to remove the old wall to the stud wall and replace it with new drywall. When gluing to an existing surface you do not know how the glue will adhere to the old wall surface.

Q:Can this be glued to existing tile?
by|Apr 2, 2020

Answer This Question
A: Yes it can!!! I left the tile up around the window of our shower and glued it directly to the tile using loctight all purpose construction adhesive. I originally purchased 7 tubs of adhesive for my project and ended up using 8 total. So far it has been wonderful with no issues what so ever. I did not leave the original tile up on the walls due to replacing the tub as well. But you can glue straight to tile. Just make sure you are using enough adhesive in the grout areas. You might run into an issue if glueing over white subway tile as they are very smooth with out much for the adhesive to grab a hold of.

A: I believe so but you should check with the adhesive manufacturer, the surround has nothing to do with that it would depend on whether or not the adhesive would would adhear to the tile that is there

A: The Durawall will only work with an adhesive that specifies for use with plastic bathtub wall. Flooring adhesive will bleed through the panels
by|Feb 6, 2020
A: I guess it would depend on what flooring adhesive it is. I recommend using Loctite Bath adhesive.
