A:  This 3/8” Thick Locking Collection features a Valinge Locking System with a 1.2mm Thick Sliced Face Veneer mounted on an HDF Core, with a hardwood back veneer. High Density Fiberboard (HDF) is an engineered board produced from resin bonded wood fibers under high pressure and heat and provides excellent joint integrity when the Click and Lock Profile is milled on the sides and ends. The majority of Locking Hardwood flooring on the market is comprised of an HDF Core. This collection is also sealed with 7 layers of the latest super low gloss urethane finish with aluminum oxide, providing protection from everyday wear and tear. This is a prefinished floor which is sealed with 7 coats of the latest super low gloss urethane finish with aluminum oxide, providing protection from everyday wear. - The entire collection of Malibu Wide Plank Hardwood Flooring is very durable, however If you look up the definition of Scratch resistant it essentially means that the product is able to withstand minor scratches. There are ways to prevent scratches on Hardwood Flooring by taking proper precautions to protect furniture and chair legs and feet with felt protectors. Moving heavy objects without a dolly and/or protective plywood beneath may cause damage to any type of flooring. Damage may also occur from spiked and/or high heels and pet claws. A:  I’m not sure if it’s US but I did a whole house over a year ago and it’s holding up well. My only negative was availability of trim/transition pieces very limited made for difficult install. Otherwise good flooring.
