Q:Will these magnets work thru acrylic plastic? And attach to a magnetic tape on the side of a acrylic plastic, similar to what you see with magnetic aquarium thermometers

Answer This Question
A: No, the ceramic will not hold to the magnetic tape on the other side of acrylic. The magnetic field on the magnetic tape does not have enough “depth of pull” or “reach” to go through the acrylic and hold to another magnet. Most applications that I have seen for aquariums or holding through acrylic, use a larger ceramic magnet (3/8 x 7/8 x 1-7/8) or neodymium/rare earth on both sides of the acrylic or glass.

Answer This Question
A: They would work, however, they are not covered and could soil fabric. You could use Model # 97414, Internet #206503435, Store SKU #1001597476, Magnetic Badge Holder (2-Pack). This name badge magnet will not leave holes, tears, or other damage to the fabric. 2 powerful neodymium disc magnets are mounted to 1 metal plate. Adhesive with liner on other metal plate.

A: The ceramic block is not designed to be used as a door latch so we are unable to make recommendations for this purpose.
