A:  There is a temperature gauge in the door that’s visible from the front. Turn control knob to desired setting. Indicator light will turn off when set temperature is reached.

      A:  Kazi, Thank you for your question. When you first use the unit it will be a little smoky, but it will start to stabilize. The amount of smoke also is determine on how much fuel is being used.

        A:  Thank you for your question, yes you can smoke a brisket in this unit. Average brisket time is 13 -15 hours with a few going longer. This is only an estimate because every brisket is different.
