Answer This Question
A: I dont know much of azek trim but if you are not using an adhesive this guage nailer is not good for that. youll need a nail guage with a head ie 16 or 18.

A: Azek and most pvc trim is not supposed to be nailed as it voids the warranty. Cortex screws and plugs only.

Q:Will the gun shoot through different Thickness of Crown moulding and fillers ,Oak, Maple ,pine, cetera

Answer This Question
A: I had no trouble driving the longest pins (1-3/8 inches) into solid oak, sinking them below the surface. I wouldn't use 23g pins for crown moulding though, at least not without glue for added strength.

Q:Does this work on baseboard
by|Apr 1, 2021

Answer This Question
A: Yes, it will work on baseboard - but a 23g pin is very small and will not adequately support baseboard, especially since the longest pin (1-⅜
will only penetrate about ⅜ into the stud. I'd recommend a minimum 18g, 2" nail for securing baseboards onto drywall and studs. This would work very well for shoe molding onto baseboards though.

A: Have used the largest nails on baseboard. Have to ensure that there is a stud upon which to attach and that the sheetrock is not between stud and baseboard.

A: I use it to pin the corners together on an outside miter but wouldn't recommend for complete base install

A: 23 gauge pin nails are too light for baseboards and not hold over time. I'd use a larger trim nailer that uses 16 gauge or 18 gauge nails.

Answer This Question
A: Hi Lester! You can use any M12 battery with any M12 product. However, you will typically get a longer run time when using a larger amp hour.

A: Yes, I've used it. It's a bit awkward to remove and it won't sit upright on the base of the battery, but it certainly works.
