A: Make sure to grease the center with the head off, especially if you are using it it a wet application as water will cause the grease to dissipate and then the head won’t turn

A: Only if it was designed for expansion
by|Jan 22, 2022
A: Yes, Zurn Pex B is expansion capable, just make sure it says if buying ?old stock?, but all new stuff should be expansion, crimp etc?capable. If have doubts, call ZURN, they?ll talk with you (specialist or engineering team) if need more data.

A: Yes ,work with zurn and viega pex,but por inspection is not approved

A: Not officially. PEX B is not considered “expandable”. PEX A only. However, I’ve seen some plumbers that say Zurn B will expand and contract like A.

A: According to Zurn it reacts the same as Uponor Pex-A. So the Milwaukee tool should work identical to expanding that pipe.

A: This pex machine is only for pex A. This cannot be used on pex b. Pex b tubing is for crimp or clamp only. Pex A can be used with cold expansion and crimp.
by|Aug 19, 2023
A: Zurn Pex-B can be used with expansion fittings, but Zurn sells there own expansion heads. I'd check Zurn's warranty to make sure it isn't voided by using Uponor heads that come with the M12 kit.

Q:What is the difference between this expander tool and the m12 (2432-20)? Is this the newer and better version?

Answer This Question
A: I have studied these in great detail and I think the answer you received is wrong. The head on the 2532 is larger and more powerful. It handles 1' better and faster than the 2432 by all the reviews I have read and seen.

Q:What does the term ProPex mean, is that the same as pex A tubing or does it require a different type of tubing?

Answer This Question
A: Propex is the system name for Uponor expansion products. It’s like saying Kleenex. Pex A is the only tubing that can be expanded. There is also pex B and pex C which cannot. Uponor’s pex A pipe is called Aquapex. Sharkbite, Apollo, Sioux Chief, and other companies make expansion fittings and pex A pipes too. The general term would be “Pex A expansion” they can be mixed as they all work the same way but my suggestion would be to use the same brand tubing as expansion rings
by|May 14, 2022
A: ProPEX is Uponor's brand of PEX A tubing. Uponor is a tubing manufacturer. We partner with them in the creation of our Expansion tools.
