A: I bought mine yesterday. The store personnel had no idea so they pointed me to the 800 number. 10 minutes on the phone while walking around, I had the tool and an XC2.5 battery in my cart, and they credited the cost of the battery (79), picked up at desk.

Answer This Question
A: Mime came with 2.5 and a 4.0 battery. Doesnt clearly say that but pictures show 4.0 and then 2.5.

A: Previous commenter nailed it. The cp3.0 generally uses Samsung 30q 18650s. Only 15amps max continuous discharge. The 2.5 uses Samsung 25S cells, 25amp max continuous. There are 3ah cells that can do 25amps, like the LG HG2, but they cost more.

A: Because the greater the capacity of the cell, the less power they can put out. The cells in this 2.5Ah pack can put out 25A, while the cells in the 3.0Ah pack can only put out 15A. that's what makes this a HO pack, it can put out more current/power.

A: Because it a high output, or "HO" battery. Its said that the 2.5ah puts out the same power as a 6.0ah

Q:Do these have a longer runtime than the CP 3.0 batteries?

Answer This Question
A: no. ah is more of a time rating than a power rating ah=amp hour. 2.5 will give a tool more kick than a 3.0 [not really advertised anywhere, just something reviewers have discovered through testing] but a light or jacket will run longer with the 3.0.

A: 3.0 has a higher capacity than 2.5. The advantage of the HO 2.5/5.0 is lower temp while using & charging. They also accept charging at a higher rate. They can also discharge at a higher rate for certain tools requiring sporadic bursts of power.

A: The cp3.0 uses Samsung 30q cells. Only 15amps max continuous discharge. The 2.5 uses Samsung 25S cells, 25amps max continuous. With a high drain tool that means more power. With a lower drain tool you won't notice a difference

Q:Is the battery compatible with the Milwaukee pruning saw?
by|Oct 15, 2022
1 Answer
Answer This Question
A: It depends on the voltage. I’m not sure which to all you have. If it is a 12 V tool, the batteries from this tool will fit. If it’s any other voltage the batteries are different. With Milwaukee, all of their tools are interchangeable with the batteries as long as they are the same voltage.
