Answer This Question

A:  16 inches from the ceiling.Mine is fully extended and I have 85 inches from the floor but my ceiling is 9ft 6 inches

by|Jan 26, 2021

A:  You adjust the height (distance from the ceiling) by joining two "legs" that are 15" long and depending on which holes you use to join them you can adjust in 1.5" increments, or you could use just one leg piece and that would be 15". Any shorter than that would require cutting the metal.

      Answer This Question

A:  I’ve had this in my garage for two years and never had anything fall off. If they don’t have any netting, I’m sure Grainger or McMaster has some you can zip-tie to it

      by|Feb 11, 2020

A:  The rack comes with a side bar that would prevent large objects from falling.

        by|Feb 11, 2020

A:  Safety netting did not come with the rack. However, I never had any issues with items falling off. It’s pretty stable once it’s up. I used it to store suit cases, amount other things. Nothing ever fell off when I was getting the suit cases down.

A:  This is designed to be specifically hung from the ceiling.

A:  it can attach directly to wall. it is great. we have so much things we store. to be secure, do not store heavy things. but it hold a lot of things. nabil

            by|Jan 8, 2020

A:  Assuming you are not talking about the intermediate railing (meant to hold your stuff on the bottom, yes you can hang it by the back vertical rail.

              by|Jan 14, 2020

A:  To answer simply: Yes. Rather than attaching the hanging supports and rail on one side, you could simply use the holes for the supports to bolt directly into wall studs, then adjust the front supports to level and you sir (or ma'am) are done!

                by|Jan 14, 2020

A:  not sure what you are trying to do but if you are looking to turn the unit 90 degrees and mount on a vertical wall it wouldn't hold much of anything (maybe lumber?).

A:  We ended up hiring a handyman. He and his assistant were able to hang them by anchoring studs in our attic.

                            A:  It weighs 36 pounds.

A:  I do not know an exact amount, but 60lbs or so, would be my estimate. because it is put up in pieces, Weight is not a big deal as you lift up and down the ladder. If you want to put a bunch of weight on the racks, I would recommend going to a larger Lag bolt than what comes with these, just to be safe and they are only a couple of bucks a piece.

A:  These are adjustable, will fit fine at 23"

                                by|Aug 19, 2019

A:  The height it totally adjustable at approximately 1” increments. It comes with angle irons that have holes 1” apart. I was able to adjust mine to go directly above garage door. No extra pieces or cutting required.

                                  by|Mar 18, 2019

A:  the vertical angle iron pieces have holes every inch, therefore it should be able to be adjusted at 1 inch increments, mine is adjusted to approx. 21 inches due to limited space, good luck

A:  You can adjust the high - very flexible: reduced from 28 in, but no less than half of 14 in.
