Q:I have a terra cotta cleanout so close to my house I cant fit something over it. It has no cap on it and is open. It has no threads.The diameter is about 7" outside flange inside 6" pipe opening about 4 1/8 could I set this in there and get a screw in cap

A:  Hi ned2no, the cleanout adapter part# 4P11 connects to 4" Sewer and Drain SDR35 pipe. Also, the 4" female pipe thread (FPT) connection fits 4" male pipe thread (MPT) cleanout plug (41P8), sold separately. You would need a flexible fitting and use it on the clay pipe to connect to 4P11.

    A:  Part# 4P11 will connect to 4" SDR 35 (drain/sewer) pipe. The Outer diameter of the fitting is 6.56".

      A:  The only sizes that we can provide are 3", 4" and 6". The part number for the 4" is 4P11 for S&D pipe and the cap is 41P8.

        Q:What is the inside diameter of the non-threaded end. The pipe I am putting it on has an outside diameter of 6.5 inches. Will it work?

        A:  The inside diameter of the non-threaded end is 6.31" which is designed to fit SDR-35, SDR-26 and triple wall pipe.

          Q:Will a standard 6" DWV cleanout plug thread into this? Looking for a recessed plug to prevent lawnmower from hitting it and those seem to be sold only for DWV pipe, not sewer pipe, which I understand has different dimensions, but not sure if that also applies to these threads?

            A:  This is designed to fit Sewer and drain dimensions, so a sewer and drain plug will fit into this. NDS part number #61PS

                  Q:6" PVC pipes have different OD depending on the pipe one has. I have a "green" pipe that is used for a outside city sewer vent for my home. OD for this pipe ~6.25". (Which is smaller than others.) What size pipe will this cleanout adapter fit?
