Q:Specs for this elbow show that operating temperature range is -20 to 100 degrees Fahrenheit. Is this correct or should it be 400 degrees?

A: George, I'm wondering if that was a typo meaning Centigrade and not Fahrenheit. These fittings are commonly used for both cold and hot water systems in homes across the U.S.
If 0 degrees Centigrade is freezing or 32 Fahrenheit that might make sense... as 212 is equal to 100 C.
