Q:Can I build this on an existing concrete driveway? Is the gravel and crushed stone mentioned for the wood to rest on? Can you use a steel bowl type design to hold wood and ashes? Otherwise how do you remove the ashes without taking the gravel/rock with the debris/? Any place these instructions can be viewed on line prior to purchase? Thank so much!

A: Hi Nance, the installation instructions are listed on the Home Depot site. If you want us to email them to you please visit our website at http://outdoorlivingkits.com/contact and fill out the form. we recommend you put gravel then sand. The sand is there to help scoop out the ashes. You can use the steel bowl as well, we just don't offer that as an option.

A: The cap tops are out of stock at Home Depot due to the manufacturer being out of stock. Silver Creek Stoeneworks is in production and when we get caught up on orders we will have them back in stock at Home Depot

Q:In the video that shows how to put these together there is a fire bowl. The kits do not appear to have a fire bowl. Don't you need one? Are they extra?

A: This will depend on where you are placing the fire pit. I have mine on a concrete deck and placed a fire pad deck protector directly on the concrete, then 6 inches depth of crushed rock and filled the rest (to within 4 inches of the top) with sand because I wanted a beach feel and the sand is very easy to clean. If you were putting this on the grass you wouldn't need to take those steps at all. I would say it is personal preference.

A: The video shows an installation of a different fire pit.The Necessories Grand Fire Ring does not include a bowl, it has a steel insert instead.
