      A:  For me this ac unit is quite quiet. I am hard of hearing,but even with my hearing aid on the sound from the ac is very hard for me to hear. I sleep next to the unit at the head of my bed. No problems with sound at all. A better endorsement is my partner who has excellent hearing. She has never complained of any noise from the ac unit.

          A:  It is an air conditioner. So it certainly makes noise. But I can watch video streaming and hear just fine. I sleep with it on low speed (and it's about 6 ft from my bed). You can carry on a conversation in normal voice volume.

            Q:would it be practical to mount in a small Airstream camper? Is there 2 parts to this.. a condenser and a a evaporator coil. At a glance I see only 1 unit which wouldn't make sense since in order to make "cool" there has to be "hot" somewhere or its a wash. please explain. I would make a hole through the body of the trailer instead of using a window.

                      A:  No you don't have to vent it. I works just as any other portable space heater would. The heat comes from an electric element that does not give off any toxic gases or fumes. Just use with caution as you would any electric space heater.

                        A:  Mine does not have heating element but I would think as long as it has a fan you should vent it. Check Manual try it and see with or with out Good Luck

                          A:  yes however, you probably would have to trim down the length because it goes from 20+" to 40+" but less than 50", the bracket's made of plastic, cutting it is something to consider?

                            A:  The hose could not be used with a sink. The hose must provide a path for heat to leave the room being air conditioned. It must go through a window or a opening made in a wall that allows the heat to be dumped outside.

                            A:  Hello TNGirl, You don't have to use the included window kit, though you do need to make sure the AC is exhausted to the outside of the home. I hope this helps. Cheers, Chris
