A: A clean, smooth, flat, & strong surface is needed to install Deck Tile correctly. Never ever should it be put on a surface that is NOT flat. If it is clean & flat, you can install directly over it.

Q:Do all colors get hot in the sun? What about ambient heat? I?m in the desert but my patio does not get direct sun, but does get 115� air temp.

A: I can't talk about all colors. I have a pecan, teak color. I get some direct sun and have not had issues with heat from the tiles. It's a good product and goes together easily. The added trim pieces give a nice finished look.

A: If you’re placing the tiles on a concrete surface and it’s smooth then I would be comfortable placing the hot tub on them. My hot tub was already in place so placed the tiles on the adjacent concrete area.
