Q:How much does this cover actually?
Product description says:
Each mat measures 24 in. (W) by 24 in. (L)
Provides 64 sq. ft. of total coverage
The one I'm looking at has 16 in it.
The math seems wrong.

Q:Do these mats stay "locked" together well? I want to use them in the garage for exercise but will be moving side-to-side so I can't have something that will separate too easily.

A: They stay together very well. Have had them in a playroom for a couple years and they do not come apart.
by|Apr 29, 2020
A: Yes. I have picked them up and moved them while assembled as one piece and they did not separate. We use them for a kids play area in the back of our meeting space.

A: Yes they stay together well. The only part that seems to come off when they are roughed around with are the boarders.

A: I use these mats in early childhood music classes. We do quite a bit of large movement, and the mats very rarely unlock. However, if you are putting them on a garage floor, you might want to consider a thicker mat, because this mat is fairly thin and has a tendency to slide around on hard surfaces. Being thinner, it also won’t wear as well over time as the slightly thicker mats do for the kind of activity you are planning. The most durable and tightest locking mats I have found are the ewonderworld 9/16” interlocking mats. They are worth the extra money if you really want something that will last.

A: Thanks for the question. Please remember these mats are foam and the ones you are talking about are our thinnest mats at under 1/2" thick. So moving side to side like you said these mats will most likely will come apart! You can try to use something like Gorilla tape on the bottom seams but the bottom is smooth and these will not work well for what you are doing. We do have gym mats that are thicker and heavier then these https://www.homedepot.com/p/Norsk-Shock-Absorbent-25-2-in-x-25-2-in-x-0-70-in-Gym-Tiles-Black-White-Fleck-4-Pack-304270/310366551
These are currently out of stock because of the virus but we should get more in by Middle of May
Thanks again

A: Ricki thanks for the question! We hope you are well and staying safe!
they are smooth on the bottom. Regarding glueing we cannot recommend that since it voids warranty. Do people do it yes but we cannot tell you what to use as there is so many products out there. many people tape the bottom seams to keep mats together or use Rug stops under the mats to help keep them in place better. Hope this helps

A: They are smooth on the bottom. I am not sure if you are thinking about glueing the pieces together, but they stay together really well. I guess if you had the right kind of glue maybe.
