A: Hate to break it to you. The specs on the Lowes trailer matches those listed on their website. Plus now these trailers are $499 and are assembled. The only difference is you're paying $200+ for a larger hitch size. That's not a price justification. Sorry Homer.

A: Verify the payload capacities from the tags on the trailers. It appears the Lowes 4X6 payload capacity of 1,650 lbs is 960 lbs MORE than the 4X6 Home Depot trailer, yet the Home Depot trailer costs $200 more? That doesn't seem right - could be a misprint on the website. I'd verify the capacity tags on the trailers.
And this is a kit? $200 more for a kit that you assemble yourself and has half the payload?
I bought a 4X5 fully assembled Pace American trailer from Home Depot about 10 years ago because I liked the little details... the wiring tube was routed outside the bed, f or example, where it couldn't be damaged by cargo. The GVW is 2,000 lbs, making the payload capacity around 1,600 lbs. Zero problems with it.
