Q:I see the heat comes from the top but can you confirm do you mean top of the box (the box behind the face of the unit?) I'm wanting to mount the box portion inside of a wall so that the unit is fairly flush with the wall but i need to confirm where the heat comes from. My similar unit at home comes from the front top - as in the area under the top silver face showing in this picture.

A: Yes the heat comes from the base box behind the screen you see in the display. If you put the box inside of the wall the heat will not be distributed.

Q:I have a renovated 1925 home, the previous owners had closed up the original fireplace, but the original mantel is still there. Would something like this be ok to mount on the wall under the mantel? I have flat screen mounted above already that's about 3ft+ from the empty area where the fireplace will be hung.
