Answer This Question
A: No, the vent needs to at least be 1/2 the size of the pipe diameter is it serving.

A: For venting the tank, NO, that needs a proper sewer vent going through the roof, plus 1/2” is far too small a pipe size to vent properly go to 1.25” or whatever you standard fitting found for sewer vent caps at places like Camping World carry. This is simply a valve placed near a sink drain to keep back pressure in the system to prevent the tank smell coming through the sink drain.

A: This was used for a sink only in my RV however I think this would work in your situation.

A: 20 Branch and 8 Stack DFU's. It would cover the DFU's for those fixture. Always check with your local code to see if this is an approved method in your area.

A: No, but no reason it wouldn't work. Water drains out of an RV sink the same way it drains out of any other.

Answer This Question
A: Vertical by instructions. Follow the instructions for the best results.
by|Oct 21, 2019
A: Must be installed as close to vertical as possible. You cannot have the vent tilted more than 15 degrees from side to side, otherwise it will not operate properly.
by|Oct 21, 2019
A: Vertical not horizontal because the air go up

A: It should be mounted Vertically. It has a thin rubber diaphram that while not used in awhile and in a Horizontal position would cause it to form in a contant open position and would defeat the purpose and leave smell into the area it is installed.

Q:I recently purchased a flipped home where there is no plumbing vent in the roof but only two cheater vents on the kitchen sink and bathroom sink. Is that going to fully vent the plumbing for a cess pool home?

Answer This Question
A: I doubt that it does that. You want to vent sewer gas to the outside. Hopefully the existing vents are installed correctly. That's why its called a Cheater Vent.
by|Sep 11, 2019
A: I do not believe so, you still have to have a main vet for the rest of the pluming, washer also needs vented. hope this helps
by|Sep 6, 2019
A: The MIIMUM requirement for AAV's to function properly is to have at least ONE main stack through the roof for the AAV's to pull from. The AAV's prevent additional stacks through the roof.

A: Without knowing the plumbing layout, my opinion is "No". Code states that a vent should be 1/2 the size of the waste line. So the toilet should be a minimum 3" line with it's own vent and so on. Now as far as vents penetrating the roof is not necessary, but they require a different style automatic vent, which is sold at Home Depot. Where I'm at, we use a 2" vent on the toilet and 2" vent/drain for lavatories and the kitchen sink, washing machine.
