Q:Will the Odoban LEMON Disinfectant Spray " EFFECTIVELY KILL ATHLETE'S FOOT FUNGI " if sprayed on sneakers and shoes ? Thanks !
by|Jun 16, 2023
1 Answer
Answer This Question

A:  OdoBan disinfectant sprays disinfectant hard, nonporous surfaces. So, on the parts of shoes or boots that may be made of rubber, hard plastic or other nonporous material, disinfecting can take place when the surfaces is sprayed enough to become completely wet and remain wet for 10 minutes. While some amount of germs can be killed in the porous surfaces of shoes, it cannot be said that 100% of the germs will be killed. When used on hard, nonporous surfaces according to label directions, OdoBan disinfecting sprays kill Athlete's Foot Fungus.

Q:I spilled gasoline on my suv upholstery. Will this product help remove the smell? If not, any suggestions?

    Answer This Question

A:  That's a tough one. I've never used it for gasoline and while this product has a very pleasant aroma, I don't think it'll work on gasoline. Part of your challenge will be that the gas likely seeped into the cushioning underneath your fabric and then it's there for good unless you can remove and replace the insides. I know people have used a baking soda/vinegar/water mixture, but I don't know if that's going to work on your problem unless you can soak the fabric (after you've removed and replaced the inside cushion) in it. Good luck!

A:  I would first use baking soda to help absorb the odor. I would cover the area in baking soda, allow it sit a few hours or longer, vacuum. Repeat process. Cover area with odo-ban, allow to dry, repeat as necessary. I've used this process on fabric for smelly spills. Hope this helps!

A:  Dip an old rag in a solution of baking soda and vinegar and gently rub it over the source of the stench in the car, whether it's the seat cushion or fabric floor mat.

              Answer This Question

A:  Yes. OdoBan can be mixed with water and used in a spray-and-blot method for spot treatments, or it can be used in a carpet extraction cleaning machine if an entire carpet needs to be deodorized. Mix OdoBan with water only. Never mix with carpet cleaning products or any other chemicals. Use according to label directions.

                  Answer This Question

A:  OdoBan is not recommended for use outdoors where it is exposed to grass and other plants, and waterways. Pets should be away from treated areas until OdoBan solutions have dried. For eliminating odors outdoors, we recommend OdoBan Outdoor & Yard Odor Eliminator, which is pet safe and great for lawns, artificial turf, patios, decks and more!

Q:can it get out spoiled meat odors from inside of fridge & freezer?

                    Answer This Question

A:  Yes, OdoBan can be used to eliminate spoiled food odors from refrigerators and freezers, however, the porous nature of the interiors makes it possible to absorb the smell of OdoBan just as well as they did the foul odors. Therefore, applications should be done using OdoBan diluted well, and this is only recommended in worst case scenarios where the odor is horrible and you may need to throw the appliance out rather than use it. If you are at that point, try OdoBan mixed 4oz per gallon of water. Wet surfaces thoroughly with the solution including racks and behind, inside and around drawers. Ventilate the appliance as much as possible and repeat as necessary.
