A:  In response to the person that answered my question, if you re-read my question, you will see that I have tried to contact the manufacturer and they have conveniently made themselves un-reachable - even to the kind manager at my local Home Depot who attempted to contact them while I was in the store. Turns out, if you order an item on-line, (even if the item is shipped to the store) you must deal with the "on-line" Home Depot community. Once a call was made to them, I was given a credit towards the price of the door which should cover the cost of having my contractor fix the problem.

A:  6" interior jambs are not available. This would have to be a trim add situation

A:  There actually used to be an “unfinished alder” option as well as the “unfinished light maple” price was $100 less. Calling an unfinished alder “unfinished light maple” is deceptive.

A:  Unfinished Alder is not an option in Home Depot's drop down. So color is most like maple as raw product.

A:  It's just a color descriptor. They're not saying it's wood from a maple tree. If you look further down it says color/finish: unf light maple. There's also a stained golden oak version. Just the color. Wood is alder. Unfinished it has the color appearance of a light maple. It's not deceptive. I replaced all the doors in my house with these. Great solid doors with alder wood sourced from the PNW, where I'm at. They take stain beatufilly and assembly and install amazingly.

A:  They are available for order now. They would be shipped to you in the first week of April or available for pickup at a local HD store in that same time frame.
