                      Q:I see an answer that says do not install in rooms with sump pumps or floor drains . . So does that exclude all basements? We are installing electric radiant heating pads (no thinset needed). Our basement has a sump pump.

The heating system can be installed on the surface of the subfloor as an electrical matting as long as it meets the floor flatness requirements and is approved for use with laminate flooring.
