A:  It appears to be by design. Other people made this comment and I am also having this issue. What a bummer.

A:  It is not magnetic, so you do have to manually seat the head into the spout. Not a defect, just a nuisance.

A:  I had the same problem two times with this faucet and had to replace it, then returned it and got a different one. It's defective.
