A:  Plasti Dip can be applied by brushing. A soft natural bristle brush is recommended. If thinning is needed, the recommended thinners are VM&P Naphtha or Toluene, 10-20% volume, no more than 50%, stirring gently. Please test your application to see if it will meet your expectations.

A:  Have only used this as it shows, for a coating on my tool handles.

                  by|Mar 13, 2022

A:  Plasti Dip is not a filler product, as it will shrink as it cures. We would only recommend doing thin layers and allowing to cure at least 4 hours before adding another layer. We recommend testing all applications, to be sure it will meet your expectations.

                      Answer This Question

A:  Not really. The can is alot thinner and will not build the same thickness without excessive coats and issues.

A:  I have both but only used the spray on. I would assume the spray would be thinner consistency

                        by|Jul 24, 2022

A:  The Plasti Dip aerosol and the dip cans do not have the same consistency. The aerosol can is going to be a lot thinner and is spray only. The dip cans, such as the 14.5 oz. or 22 oz. are going to be a thicker consistency that you're able to dip or brush on.

                            Answer This Question

A:  While Plasti Dip can be applied to handles of kitchen utensil's, we do no recommend washing them in the dishwasher, but hand washing them. Since Plasti Dip is made to be peelable, the high pressure of the dishwasher can cause it to peel, which could cause damage to the dishwasher. We recommend testing all application to make sure it will meet your expectations.

                              Answer This Question

A:  If the pool is fresh water or salt water, Plasti Dip can be used, as it works well with both of these. However, it does not work with chlorine, as it is not compatible with chlorine. Plasti Dip can withstand -30 to 200°F, anything above this will cause the product to melt. We recommend testing all applications in a small area to make sure it will meet your expectations.
