Q:Hi, Do you have a sliding gate product that would work with Aluminum Railing? Or thoughts on a way to adapt for Aluminum railing? Top rail is 2"x 1 1/4" & Bottom 1 1/2" x 1 1/4". Please see photo

Unfortunately our sliding gate kits works only with materials that has 1.5" width x 3.5" or 5.5" ( wooden 2x4 or 2x6).

A: The height of the gate depends on the height of your fence or railing. In other words it’s adjustable. We used this hardware to make a gate that covered an opening that was more than 6 feet. Not all the hardware was necessary. And certain adjustments had to be made to allow the gate to transit the more than 6 feet.

A: You can make it the height you want it and mine was 63" wide opening and it works good. It will be better with the 43" opening. You have to make the gate wider then the opening (I think it's 18" wider. FOLLOW the directions and read them all the way through before you start

A: Yes. If your deck design is significantly different from the design of the gate pictured, it’ll take hours and hours to build and modify.
By the way, mind started to rust a week or two after installing (see picture).

Q:Will this sliding gate kit work if your post are 6x6? The instructions just show it with 4x4.

Q:Fixed rail brackets keep slider vertical? I have 11' opening from fence to garage corner, & 3' more from corner to house. 8'W fixed leaves 3' passage with slider open. Will fixed bracket on corner and stop 1'-2' beyond suffice to keep slider vertical?

A: Basically as long as you need. Remember to make longer than the opening as gate bracket attached to fixed rail has about 6-8 inches of gate overlap
