A: Don't know the blade height. You probably need to drop by a store to check since people like RR can't think outside the box. OBVIOUSLY this could be used to create a narrow half inch wide shallow trench to drop low-volt wiring into. Whether the blade's tall enough to give you the depth you need is the question but it can obviously create a narrow/shallow trench in dirt. I like the idea. Sounds way easier than using an actual trench shovel that makes trenches much wider than you need for something like a wire run.
A: The surface scraper tool is made for scraping, not trenching, so, no, this is not the tool you need for trenching. RR
A: The blade height is approximately 4”. It might work for that as long as it was soft ground with no rocks. The blade is flexible to some degree.
A: 4 inches is the height. It would be a lot of work to make a trench 6-7 inches deep and 14 inches wide with this floor scraper. Use a spade instead or a power trencher.
A: five inches
A: Yes, the dried dog poo shouldnt be a problem. I'd just be careful with it to not damage the tile.
A: This would work great for that.
A: Thank you for your inquiry. Potentially Yes, this is a very useful high performance tool designed to remove adhesive and flooring from a concrete substrate. (this tool is not specific to finished flooring such as ceramic tile) You may also want to consider pre-soaking the area with detergent and water. And wash away the pet matter area with a mid pressure water delivery system. Thank you for considering this tool for your project.
A: Yes, you can scrap many things with this tool, dog poo included... RR
A: Yes it should unless the poo is glued down to the floor.
A: Yep
A: Yes unless it has been on the tiles for along time. It might scratch the tiles.
A: The answer to your question really depends on what is under your vinyl flooring, and what kind of adhesive was used. This tool doesnt "pull up" but can scrape flooring, especially carpet on hard floor. The price is right, give it a try. RR
A: Thank you for your inquiry. Please note this tool is a scraper - The QEP 14 in. Floor Surface Scraper features a durable, 14 in. replaceable carbon steel blade to help you remove old floors and excess debris.
A: No it will not
A: Good day, This product has a flexible 14" blade that is used to remove old floors (including tile, wood, laminate, adhesive, stone, carpet and vinyl) and clean up excess debris. Thank you for choosing QEP. Customer Service
A: That certainly depends on how strongly they were installed in the first place. However of all the long-handled scrapers available nowadays, this one is pretty solid.
A: This is not sharp enough to do this, and it would be very hard on your hands to do it with this. You may need a chipping hammer for that with a chisel.
A: Good day, This product has a flexible 14" blade and is meant to be used to remove old floors and clean up excess debris. Thank you, Customer Service
A: No, this product would be used to scrape the tiles from the sub floor if you were replacing them. For wax or buildup, you would use a cleaner/remover, and a abrasive sponge or circular floor cleaner. RR
A: No it will not
A: Yes after applying wax remover
A: Thank you for your inquiry. Yes, Replacement blade: QEP # 21000Q.
A: Yes, but did not need it.
A: No
A: Check to see if the blade can be removed, then measure and go online to homedeport.com and search for replacement blade, with size. RR
A: IF YOU REMOVE THE HANDLE IT MAY. I DON'T THINK YOU WILL BE ABLE TO GET THE CORRECT ANGLE . VERY GOOD IDEA.
A: Maybe, but you have to be very careful not to gouge the drywall. We just had all of the popcorn ceiling removed in our house. Wherever you gouge, you will need to go back in and float. I would suggest using a wider blade hand scraper.
A: yes works great
A: Yes it can. That's why i'm getting one.
A: Thank you for your inquiry. The QEP 14 in. Floor Surface Scraper is designed with a heavy carbon steel blade to help remove old floors and excess debris. This tool is not specifically designed or recommended for your project needs.
A: Way to much tool for the job -- simply spray the ceiling down with hot water in a garden sprayer (just a small section at a time) then scrape with a small 4/6 inch hand scraper) plan on the biggest mess you have ever seen
A: Thank you for your inquiry. The QEP 14 in. Floor Surface Scraper is a heavy carbon steel blade. This tool is not specifically designed for this purpose. However, this tool could prove useful for the task.
A: Yes just take your time so you don’t gouge the ceiling. Be sure to get it at the right angle before starting your strokes
A: Yes, this would work. be really careful when you do this. Remember, the popcorn is asbestos, and you will contaminate your house or room when you do this. You have to use a really good multi-filter mask, and cover the whole work area with plastic sheeting, dispose at the HAZMAT site in your area. A better idea, and what I do, is to use a 1 inch roller loaded with a good primer sealer , then finish with a good flat white exterior paint. That will seal the asbestos popcorn so that you wont get any fallout, and it looks good too. RR
A: I went to the store and bought just the replacement blade. It worked. It was too heavy with the stick to be scraping that long.
A: Yes
A: HI Yes our Scraper can be use for you application and will make your project easier since you can so it standing thank you
A: If the paint is on a sub-floor that is level, it will be somewhat effective.

A: Yes, it could remove some types of staples from plywood, it really depends on how deep the staples are and how firmly bound to the wood. The price is right so it is a definite yes as far is give it a try. RR
A: Hi The QEP 14 in. Floor Surface Scraper is designed remove old floors and excess debris only Thank you
A: Not recommended. The blade will likely get nicked. Use a screwdriver / johnson bar combination instead
A: hi our 14" scraper is designed to remove Tiles, carpet, vinyl the 5" long blade helps to remove old floors and cleans up excess debris therefore will not work property to remove wax out of tile floor you will ne to use a floor sander for that application thank you
A: Yes, the blade is flexible and thin. The blades are good, but the handle likes to break where it attaches to the base.
A: Yes I removed adhesive and tile..
A: The blade is too thick to scrape off stripper and old wax. It will, however, remove gum and other debris.
A: Yes to stripping old was from floors. No, the blade is not flexible. Not sure what the blade thickness is, sorry.
A: This is a utility type scraper. You should look at a "razor" edged scraper. RR
A: Yes
