Q:Can it be used in a mud room that has an oil burner furnace that is very noisy. Us it better to use it on the walls outside of the mud room then Sheetrock those walls or inside the mud room?
Also can I use it to cover the fridge?

1 Answer
Answer This Question
A: The best installation will be to put it on the walls inside the mudroom. To meet the fire requirements, it must be covered with at least 3/8" gypsum. The rule of thumb is "place sound control material on walls on the side nearest the noise source."
