Q:I see that this product is specified @ 4" x 4". A pressure treated 4x4 is actually 3.56" x 3/56". Will I have approx. 1/4" of space around each side?

        Answer This Question

A:  There will be a little space around a pressure treated 4x4, but I didn't have that much. Sorry I didn't measure. The little room that was there is needed, though. No post is perfectly straight and the little gap that I had was needed to slide over the post.

A:  I tried a test cut with the same combination blade that I used in my circular saw to cut the 4x4. It worked just fine, so I did all if the vinyl sleeve cutting with the same 7 1/4" saw. The blade was almost new, and I took it slow, cutting through one side and then flipping it over to finish. Easy-peasy. I had one cut that didn't match up perfectly, but a quick pass with the belt sander trued the edge right up.
