For standard or typical basement or garage dirt, you can use the VF4000. For fine dust, such as pollens or dust mites, you can use the VF5000. We also have a filter made of HEPA rated material known as VF6000. This filter is best recommended for picking up drywall dust, pet dander and allergens. Lastly, we have VF7000 foam filter specifically designed only for liquid pick-ups or water-borne debris. A:  Hello BD101, Thank you for your inquiry about our products. Currently we do not have a 90 degree elbow connector available. We do have a curved connector which is included with the dustopper HD12A and the gutter cleaning kit VT2515. However, those connector are only available for the 2 1/2" diameter size hoses and not sold as a separate part and can only purchase as part of the kit. A:  You can use a flat blade screwdriver to pry up the metal retainer. There are four spaces in the plastic where you can see the metal retainer. Pry up there on each space. Use the screwdriver to push the retainer back down. Not that easy to get it back in.

The bristle brush for the VT1714 are glued on a metal retainer that you can pull out the whole brush out if you want to use the nozzle without the brushes.
