Answer This Question
A: Yes. I used on oak crown molding 3/4 thick and oak corners. The exterior corners were a little tough with the metal Sheetrock corners under neath. I used on 1 inch thick composite Prefinished base board.

A: I haven't had any trouble with the nails nor sinking below the surface if you set the depth gage correctly. The nails are thin 18 gage, so you have to be aware of the grain of the wood on longer nails. They can drift if the grain is at the wrong angle to your nail

A: I’m not sure how many nails it can drive on a 4ah battery. I used mine to install all the baseboards, crown molding, and door and window trim in two 16x20 rooms and the battery was still showing half charge.

A: Hello, Oldguy - Thank you for your interest in the 18V Brushless Cordless 18-Gauge 2-1/8 in. Brad Nailer (Tool Only) with CLEAN DRIVE Technology. We do not recommend a specific brand. As long as you are using 18 ga. brad nails they will work.

Q:I used this and was having a number of misfire/jamming issues. I also had to remove/reinstall the battery a few times, since the LED would just flash with trigger pull. I was using 1 1/4" & 2" 18ga Porter-Cable brads. Would a different brand of nail help?

A: Hi Kevin,
Make sure you are using a 4ah battery. I had the same issue and then realized that the battery I was using was under powered for the tool. I was using a 2ah and was having the issues you were referring to. Another thing you may look at is the power knob on the back of the tool and make sure it is turned clockwise.
