Q:What is the shelf life of an unopened container of limewash? I’m not ready to use it yet, maybe not until next year but supply was gone for awhile (COVID-19) so I’d rather buy it now and let it sit until I’m ready.

    Answer This Question

A:  Since the main ingredient is slaked, aged lime, it can be shelved undiluted and unopened for quite some time. If it gets a little hard, remember you're adding water to reconstitute it anyway.

              Answer This Question

A:  Hello SB. If you are a trained artist and familiar with adding pigments and tints to mineral paints, you can. It is not recommended, however, as it can affect the absorbency of the mixture and may cause problems with calcification.

              by|Apr 6, 2020

A:  No, you cannot add pigmentation to this.

                  Answer This Question

A:  It met my expectations and was easy to apply. There was some artistic license involved in choosing which bricks to expose. It took a little elbow grease to re-wet and scrub those but overall the process was quick and easy. I love the results!

A:  It all depends on the environment and the look you want.

                      Answer This Question

A:  It is meant to wear and patina over time so I wouldn't expect it to be durable enough on a floor even with some type of sealant.
