A: Just put in a battery and pull the trigger. If you don’t hear the reciprocations then you have a dud. I just tried it on mine. There is really nothing that you see, but you should easily hear it working.

A: If nothing is wrong with it, it will run without a blade. Obviously the battery must be good as well to operate the saw.

A: The weight is not in the owners manual, but the total weight is less than five pounds. It varies based on the blade being used and the amp hour battery being used. I'm guessing less than 3 lbs.

A: I haven’t used it on a tree branch, but there is no reason it shouldn’t work. There are various blade sizes. The largest that I have is probably about 6”.

A: Yes you can prune and cut down x mas trees but you need to buy longer blades. Bosch and Diablo and others sell 12 in. Blades for reciprocating saws.
by|Oct 23, 2022

A: Works well as a pruning saw. Use up to 3 inches with an aggressive blade. Larger cuts need less teeth per inch. On larger cuts you should use a small chain saw to be efficient and save time and patience.

A: Yes, this saw is great for cutting branches, roots and even tree trunks. It depends upon the length of blade you use as to the diameter that can be cut. I use Diablo "Pruning" blades in the 6" and 12" length and can easily cut one foot diameter logs.
