Q:What is the water lift rating for this vacuum? I see the CFM specification is ~33 CFM, but that only paints half the picture of vacuum power without knowing the static suction rating.

Answer This Question

A:  I would not use this vacuum for water or anything wet.

by|Feb 11, 2020

A:  Frankly, I don't think this is a wet vac, I don't see any mention of wet use in the description and it doesn't seem to be designed for it.

A:  Hi Doresoom, This model is not a wet vac. This is for dry material only. Hope this helps. Greg

A:  For very light duty cleaning. Sawdust, not sand or leafy debris.

A:  Hi Kevin, You cannot pick up any wet debris and the canister will fill up quick but it will pick up most other debris. Thanks for asking. Greg

A:  Only for very, very light cleanup. Otherwise, I wouldn't recommend it.

A:  I had the same problem. The gear wheel that the roller attaches too is frozen so the belt just spins. I replaced the head with a new one since it was still in replacement warranty, but that one did the same thing within a couple of months. It seems to be a design flaw, so I wouldn't spend money on a new one which will have the same problem after a few weeks.

A:  I contacted Ryobi and they sent me a replacement. Unfortunately, the same design problem exists in the replacement and the replacement just seized on me today, half-way through the 4AHr battery. I’d been careful to use it only for short stints after the original failed, and I could tell the bushings in the replacement were getting progressively worse with each use cycle. This seems to be a design flaw (using plastic bushings instead of proper metal bearings).

A:  Same thing with mine. Poorly-designed plastic moving parts erode and obstruct the spinning of the brush.

Q:Ryobi - Do you have a Ryobi battery / Ryobi tool / Ryobi charger COMPATIBILITY CHART on-line anywhere? I've got your Stick Vacuum, AirStrike Nailer, 10 inch Chainsaw, and even the Ryobi Inflator. You have several different size batteries. It is confusing/discouraging trying to figure out which battery will work with which Ryobi tools and which Ryobi chargers. Please, a one-stop compatibility chart would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

A:  Hello Pat, We have over 125 tools that all run on the same battery. The confusion often stems from the different amp hours and the batteries being different colors and sizes. However, all 18v tools work with all 18v batteries so no need to worry if it'll work or not. The higher the Ah the more run time you get. I hope this helps.

A:  If it’s a Ryobi tool that uses a 18 volt one plus battery then it will work on any tool or charger that accepts it. Only difference is amperes which is pretty much irrelevant depending how long U R gonna be using the tool. More Ah-amperes more time U’ll get to use it.

A:  It is very simple. All Ryobi batteries of 18v are interchangeable...The only difference is in the capacity of the different batteries...I like the bigger ones in capacity...

                                by|Aug 6, 2019

A:  All Ryobi 18 volt batteries work in all Ryobi 18 volt chargers with the difference being the time it takes to give each battery a full charge. All Ryobi 18 volt batteries will work in all Ryobi 18 volt products with the difference being the amount of time the product will run on a given battery. 2Ah batteries are depleted faster then a 9Ah battery but will run any of the products for a decent amount of time. I choose the battery needed to get a job done. A 2Ah battery is just fine for drilling a few holes where you would want the largest battery you have to cut wood or trim trees.

A:  The charger included is a trickle charger. Try the P117 charger. It'll charge your batteries in 30-45 minutes.

A:  It should full charge in a couple hours max. Either your charger or the battery is defective. If it does reach a full charge, it's the charger that's suspect.

A:  It's your battery , I use a 4ah battery in mine to do a 2500 sq. ft. house . it uses 2 bars on the batteries indicator and is at full charge in less than 30 mins.

A:  I expect there is an issue with the battery or the charger. My unit fully charges each battery (I have four) in about 2 hours.

A:  I've used it on carpet step and it's ok, but not as good as a Dyson. The main advantage of this vacuum is the battery. It lasts much longer than a Dyson.. it's also a lot cheaper.

A:  I have cat and it pick up every little bit. As with all vac you will have to clean the rooler just due to hair problems. Even Kirby or any high end vac you would have to do the same. Roomba the high end roomba sorta fixed the hair ball problem but is not a stick and will die on stars.

A:  It works good on carpeted steps. You connect the head directly to the vacuum without the extension wand. The unit does not like high pile carpet rugs. The brush tends to bog down unless you keep it moving.. It does a good job on dog hair. The only negative is when you go to clean the filter. The hair needs to be "helped" off of the filter. It doesn't fall out of the dust bowl like they want you to believe.

A:  Hey thank you for the question! Depending on the carpet type it can work on carpeted steps. It will work with dog hair no problem. As for the high pile carpet it it depends on how deep the high pile carpet is, it may struggle a little depending on how deep the high pile carpet is.
