A:  The RHS32's valve drain hose can be routed vertically up to 8 feet from the floor, as well as up to 30 feet horizontally.

A:  The RHS32 uses around 30-35 gallons of water per regeneration.

A:  The RHS32 has been tested and certified by NSF International for the reduction of barium and radium 226/228. It has not been tested for other sources of radiation or for gross alpha radioactivity.

A:  The RHS42 drains water at a peak rate of 2.0 gpm during its backwash and fast rinse.

A:  Rheem water softeners are not designed to be weatherproof, and we recommend installing indoors whenever possible. If installing outdoors, the unit must not be subjected to freezing temperatures, and we strongly suggest keeping it well-covered to protect from rain and direct sunlight.

A:  While we don't recommend a specific type of filter, the appropriate filter for your home will largely depend on your water conditions, such as the type and size of sediment particles, the presence of chlorine, or other aesthetic issues you'd like to treat.

A:  The RHS32 is rated to remove up to 8 ppm of clear water iron.
