A: Hi mofish and thank you for your question. Power to know: built-in LeakSense leak detection system alerts you of any leak large or small, internal or external. The auto shutoff will only shut the unit down if it detects water at the base of the water heater. it would not detect a leaking faucet.

A: TB93, Thank you for your question. The water heater should be installed in a clean dry area as near as practical to the area of greatest heated water demand. Long un-insulated hot water lines can waste energy.

Q:Model # XE50T09CG45U0 has an electronic control panel...so, if I manually set the temp to 120, then some time later our home/area loses power, when the power is restored, with the unit come up at 120, or will it revert to the factory setting of 110?

A: Just to clarify...the unit will automatically return to fully operating mode at the temp set previously, right? There will be no need to manually intervene to bring it back to normal .
