Q:Why a regularly vented water heater is much more popular than a power-vent heater, besides the cost?

Answer This Question
A: If you were talking about the old school or a fence up to the attic, I believe they would be a little more popular because most houses already have the exhaust pipes ran and quite possibly do not have an Outlet near to plug in the power van. I decided to redo my roof and instead of fixing my chimney I am just going to take it out so I had to get one of these so I could run the exhaust on the side of my house. I had to run the required PVC and run an extra outlet to plug visit before I could use it.

A: Hi Andrew and thank you for your question. I'm sorry, but there is no way to answer a "more popular" question. you might want to speak with the installer or people that you have gotten the "more popular" unit comments from.

Answer This Question
A: Hi Andrew and thank you for your question. The gas power vent water heaters offer flexible venting options using PVC, ABS, or CPVC vent pipe options with either vertical or horizontal termination. The recovery rate and the Uniform

Factor
(UEF) are generally higher.

A: Thank you for asking, Rag. Unforunately, none of our 40 Gallon Short Power Vents come using 40 kBTU. However, the average difference between a 40 kBTU unit and a 36 kBTU unit is 5 GPH, which would mean no more than a few minutes difference in heating.
