A:  Yes, you could do that provided it is the 110v. model and the replacement plug end you select will open large enough to fit over the diameter of the power cord.

A:  I would say no it’s good for washing your hands. Or maybe doing dishes, But there is not enough volume to shower under.

A:  My guess would be it would not be sufficient for showers.

A:  Yes. I bought a 33ft camper that didn't have a functioning propane water heater, and bought this one to use until I could get a rv water heater. I am able to have unlimited low pressure hot water for showers or dishes, but a bigger one would be better.

          by|Jul 18, 2022

A:  No . It’s only capacity for one faucet sink

            by|Apr 1, 2022

A:  Unless your camper can support a 30-amp breaker (meaning you have 50+ amp service connections) then yes. It draws a lot of juice, though and I would not use this unit in a camper despite its small footprint. A camper would be better off with a small 2 1/2-gallon tank type since it draws less power and can run on standard 110 volt service.

A:  My Rheem heater is in a unheated barn utility closet and serves a sink in a heated bathroom space.  There is probably 20 to 30 feet of pex pipe between the unit and the sink.  I have no problems with the hot water being supplied.

A:  My location the water temperature is forty-seven degrees from the ground. This unit with the flow rate of 1/2 gallon per minute rise would be 75* (47*+75*=122*) 122* at heater outflow. Or 1 GPM rise would be 37* (47*+37*=84*) 84* at heater outflow. The question you should be asking is. Does this unit provide the flow rate I need to get my desired temperature? Anything less you will be disappointed in. To determine your water temperature is refer to the map on site of your location. Take your water temperature (½ GPM ____* + 75* =____*) for (1 GPM ____* + 37* = ____*) for (1 ½ GPM ____* + 25* = ____*) for (2 GPM ____*+ 19* = ____*). On-Demand-Hot water will be hot if flow rate does not exceed the design limit flow to maintain the temperature Do not be disappointed by installing too small for your needs and it will maintain hot water, and the closer to the Faucet more instant it will be.

A:  Rheem customer support answered this wrong...the packaging (on the box itself) says that it has an electronic temperature control from 80 F degrees to 140 F degrees. Unless they worded it wrong and it's only a temperature display and not a control.

A:  Good day and thank you for contacting Rheem through the Home Depot support. On the Rheem POU 3.5 kW model which is only designed to be used on sinks, you are only able to increase the temperature by controlling the water flow. To get a higher temperature rise, you will have to decrease the water flow and to get a lower temperature output, you will have to increase the water flow. All of this can be done by changing out the aerator at the faucet. You can go as low as a 0.3 GPM aerator for the highest temperature rise. If any questions or any concerns, please feel free to contact our Rheem customer support at 800-374-8806. Thank you for your time.
