A:  If you mean you don’t have a wired doorbell, then yes it will function as a wireless home doorbell system with your phone. However, it works best when integrated with Alexa, google nest, Apple home, or smart tv. There are many features and accessories that can function together for instant notification’s either at home or away. I do suggest a solar charger unless you don’t mind every 60-90 days or so recharging the battery. Also another option is to get another battery to switch it out so you don’t have 4-5 hour down time.

A:  Yes, for one device like the ring video doorbell, it’s $30/yr. But if you get more than one device and want all the same features then it’s $100+/yr.

A:  Hi Ring. Good question! While it is not required, Ring offers an optional Ring Protect Plan subscription that gives you access to paid features for Ring devices such as video doorbells, cameras, and alarms. With a Ring Protect Plan, you can save, review, and share video recordings from your Ring devices to your Ring account. There are three Ring Protect Plans available: Ring Protect Basic activates video recording for one Ring home device per location. Ring Protect Plus activates video recording for all home devices at your location. Ring Protect Pro activates video recording for all home devices at your location, professional monitoring, and 24/7 backup Internet for Ring Alarm Pro. Without a Ring Protect Plan, you can still view real-time video from Ring doorbells and answer doorbell notifications when they happen, but you don’t get video recordings of those events. A:  Hi beauftragten. Good question. The Ring Video Doorbell 3 comes with one battery; however, additional batteries may be purchased if you don't want to experience any downtime while charging the battery. If your doorbell is hardwired, it will receive a trickle charge from the wiring but still requires a battery to function.
