A:  Because of lighting, method of paint application, finish (matte, semi gloss, etc), the only way to tell is to apply the chalkboard paint and see how they compare.

A:  Well it depends on the black paint you have on your walls. This is a matte black so there is no shine to it whatsoever. So it will probably stand out some but I dont think itll be terrible.

A:  This looks just like a painted wall once it is up. But it is very Matte. There will be virtually no sheen to it so if your other walls are matte paint then you likely won't really notice a difference. This stuff is pretty thick so plan on using more Product than you would need on a wall than if you were just using paint. I have one Wall in my Kitchen Painted Chalkboard and if not for the actually Chalk writing on it you wouldn't really know that it is a chalk board wall just by looking at it.

A:  Yes! We used it on a very old green board and have had very clean results.

A:  To be honest I don't know but if you are going to try it you should clean the board and get a super adhesive primer for sure.
