A: Stainless steel will accumulate water spots. They can be easily removed by using Bar Keeper's Friend.

A: You will need to wipe it down after each use, or just give it a good cleaning when you get tired of the spots. All Stainless steel sinks do this, so that is just part of it. You just have more showing with this type of sink.

Q:I looked at the installation manual and it just specifies two 2x4 beams one in the front and one in the back to set the sink on. What is preventing the sink from shifting front to back other than thin sealant layers? I am trying to install flush with my cabinet tops but the platform base seems insufficent and Im wondering if I should be clipping into countertop somehow.

A: The sink is heavy, and would be hard to move. You can add more support if you need to. The installation instructions are just a guide, and you can install the sink however you wish to.

Q:Is this sink truly 33 inches wide, or 33 inches "nominal" (meaning it's really 33-1/4 inches wide like the clay sinks that are also listed as 33 inches)?

Q:Is this a drop in sink that can be used with laminate countertop?

Answer This Question
A: No. This is strictly for under mount and requires support from the under side.

A: The directions suggest that you have a flush or +/-1/4" revel on the inside of the sink. If you can cut your counter top perfectly and apply a thin caulk around it, sure, but I would not advise it. The ascetics would not fit the functionality and furthermore, any water that sits on the pressed wood under you laminate will soon anger you as it swells up.

A: This sink cannot be installed as a drop-in/topmount.

Q:The depth of the sink is 22inches exterior, and 16 inches interior. My counter depth is 25 inches. How much of this exterior width is the apron sticking out into the front overhanging the cupboard? I need to know how much space I will have at the far end of the sink for a faucet? If this sink is 22 inches flush with the counter 3 inches at the back is not enough space for the faucet. Id like to know before I order it please.

Answer This Question
A: My cabinet is a standard 24” depth. The cut-out in my countertop is 19-1/4” x 27”.
The front edge of the sink sticks out of the cabinet by 1-1/2”, which is the same dimension as the countertop overhangs the cabinet.

Q:Does it scratch easily with normal use?

Answer This Question
A: Brand new stainless steel is very sensitive to surface scratches, however those can easily be hidden by using Bar Keeper's Friend. Use Bar Keeper's Friend and a 3M pad, and go in the direction of the grain of the sink and you will cover those scratches. As you continue to use the sink, the scratches will blend in with the rest of the sink and they will not be noticeable.

A: It is under-mount.

A: This is an apron front sink, it cannot be installed as a topmount. Your installer will build a support frame under the sink to hold it in place under the counter.

A: It does in the instructions but there isn't a template
by|Aug 15, 2019
A: Your cutout is going to be based off the exterior dimensions of the sink. We do suggest waiting until you have the sink to make any cuts, if you have not purchased it already.
