Q:One of those locks was put in my friends house and they moved out and left it locked they didn't want her to get in to see the mess but we got in but now how can I reset the pin so it locks and unlocks please help I took the battery out thank you jen

        A:  No this feature can not be turned off, if wanted to use just the key, could always remove the battery. However, there is no way to disable the keypad.

          Q:My batteries are lasting only 3 days before they go dead, what could the issue be? I’m using energizer max batteries. I’ve only had it about 2 years.

We suggest inserting a new set of Duracell alkaline batteries and performing a reset on the lock as well as checking to ensure the wire from the keypad is securely connected to the back of the interior lock assembly.               A:  Out-of-box the lock will accommodate installation on a door up to 1-3/4" thick. We do offer a thick door kit, part number b489-106, which will accommodate installation on a door up to 2-1/2" thick.                 Q:My keypad stopped working. When you lock the door there is an orange button at the bottom that flashes for awhile and then it finally locks. When you try to unlock the door, it just keeps flashing a red x, won’t open. Any ideas on how to fix?
