A:  The pipe needs to be de-soldered or else the pipes will not be long enough also you will need to clean thr solder off the ends with Emory cloth too ensure a tite fit

A:  I'm not a Plumber, but I used it for this. I ran cold and hot water lines to my basement with Pex lines and used Sharkbites.

The SharkBite Sillcock will need a piece of PEX pipe to connect to the SharkBite 1/2 in. Push-to-Connect Brass 90-Degree Elbow Fitting on one end and on the other end you can connect the SharkBite 1/2 in. Push-to-Connect Brass 90-Degree Elbow Fitting to the PEX pipe. A:  yes it can be.

A:  In general it can.  It depends a little on the type of valve.  If it has the same size shark bite fitting, this elbow can be used after a section of PEX. If the valve has pipe threads or is meant for solder, then you need the correct adapter to transition to PEX.
