A: Hello,
Yes the coping strips can be replaced at any time. Simply remove the top rail, the top track, swap the coping strips for the new ones.
Thank you,

Answer This Question
A: Hello,
It's hard to say without knowing what brand/type of pool it is. Some pools have a metal coping strip or an inner stabilizer rail that is meant to go over the coping strip and liner while others have built-in coping that is meant to be used with the liner instead of the plastic coping. Our coping strips don't stretch very far, since they are only meant to cover the liner and the pool wall, so we don't suggest purchasing it to go over a metal coping strip or inner stabilizer rail. I would pull the instructions for the pool and see if the they have a liner installation section that describes the metal coping that came with the pool before purchasing anything additional.

A: No, your existing liner would need to be removed before installing a new liner.

A: Yes it can and in some cases where the old liner is in fairly good condition it's recommended you do so to help extend the life of your new pool liner. Sorta like a double protection method.

A: Some people have done that but I have always removed and replaced because I like to and sand and smooth base.
