A:  Hello, In my personal experience if you are breaking them then often times the hole is not deep enough. I match my screw to drill bit and then go past where I need to. I also find cleaning out the drilled hole helps to prevent breakage.

                      Answer This Question

A:  Yes you should always predrill with a masonry bit. Find the size on the chart if it is not already included in package. If you do not predrill you will burn out screw, drill, or bust apart block/brick.

A:  I believe you should always pre-drill into masonary. Tapcon makes a matching bit for these...that's what I use.
