A: This is great stuff. Sands very easily but make sure it's dry first. I give my projects, interior or exterior, about a full day. Sand just like wood but it's dusty. Use a shop vac on your sander, a sanding table, or wear respiratory protection and safety glasses. I've used in on exterior trim and Douglas fir doors. The neutral ZAR blends beautifully with sealants and stains.

Q:The wood trim about my outside windows need painting and some of the wood needs replacing. Some of the wood just needs some (something ) to repair it and sand it down. I'm curious is there something I can spread over a full piece of wood to give it a new look? The wood thats warped from the wall Im ok to replace. But the wood that secured to wall I was hoping I could add a filler if needed. Thanks for any suggestions on what to buy. Plus how to repair it.

A: Hi Tim,
This product is not intended for use on live plants or trees. If you tree has developed a crack, this indicates a pest or disease has invaded the tree and a professional should be called to inspect and treat it.

A: Interesting question.
Live tree is not going to like chemicals in the patch.
Otherwise, it will depend on the crack size.
